Account Settings & Management¶
As an end user of a CNXION based platform you may wish to update your personal account details, such as email address, password, payment methods (if applicable), etc.
Overview¶
At the highest level in a CNXION based site is the User account, under the User account you can manage basic details common accross all Profiles. Depending on the site you are using you may have one or more Profiles. The distinction between a User account and a Profile is that:
- A User account is shared across all Profiles, and contains common information like email address and password.
- A Profile is specific to the application, for example if the site was to connect Investors and Entrepreneurs, you might have an Investor Profile, or an Entrepreneur Profile, perhaps even both.
Any registered user of a CNXION based site will have access to basic Account Settings.

Requirements¶
In order to access the Account Settings for your user, you need to have created a user account. Typically this can be done by registering from the homepage.
Manage User Specific Account Settings¶
Customise the account settings options within your application for each user group (separate to user profiles).
- Select your
Username
menu item from the top left logged in navbar. - Select
Account Settings
from the dropdown menu. - You are now on your
Account Settings
dashboard.
Update Email Address¶
Update your email address within the application.
- Click the
Change Email
button from theAccount Details
section of yourAccount Setttings
Dashboard. - Enter a new email address.
- Click submit.
Reset Password¶
Reset your password within the application.
- If you are logged in to your account log out and click the
Login
orGet Started
button in the top right of the navigation bar. Then click theForgot Password
link at the bottom right of the login modal form. - Enter the email address for your account.
- Click Send.
- Check your email for a link to reset your password.
Deactivate Account¶
Deactivate your account and remove your profile from the application.
- Click the
Deactivate My Account
button from theAccount Details
section of yourAccount Setttings
Dashboard. - Confirm deactivating your account by clicking the
Yes, Deactivate
button on the modal that is displayed.
Manage Subscription¶
Select a subscription plan for your account (if required)
- Click the
Subscriptions & Billing
tab in the left hand sidebar menu on yourAccount Setttings
Dashboard. - CLick the
Subscription Plan
tab from the expandable dropdown menu. - Select the subscription plan you wish to select by clicing the
Select
link at the bottom of the plan. - Click
Save
.
Manage Default Payment Method¶
- Click the
Subscriptions & Billing
tab in the left hand sidebar menu on yourAccount Setttings
Dashboard. - Click the
Billing Account
tab from the expandable dropdown menu. - Click the
Add Credit Card
button if you wish to add a new credit card. - Fill out your credit card details.
- Click submit.
Remove
any credit cards you no longer require.
